The 2010 summer marks the 4th season for Jerry Dittenber as the Head Coach of the Judds Brothers Construction Hard Hats. Which is the Senior legion baseball team for Lincoln Northeast High School. Dittenber succeeded Jerome Ehrlich the current Northeast spring coach in the summer of 2007.
Dittenber is no stranger to the baseball circles in the area, he has served in some capacity with Northeast baseball since 2000. Most recently as the assistant coach for Judds during the summer of 2006. He also has served as the Spring team varsity assistant since 2005. Prior to that he was an assistant for Apollo Steel and served as the Freshman coach at Lincoln Southwest High School.
Dittenber's teams also pride themselves on hard work and the goal of improvement on a daily basis. He tries to teach life lessons through the game of baseball and through the adversities faced on a daily basis.
With a strong group of returners from last years team that was one win away from qualifying for the state tournament there are high expectations for the HARD HATS in 2010.
"The only thing that is expected of our players is to give everything they can to their teammates and coaches every single day. We focus on daily improvement and on fundamentals. We want to provide our players with the greatest chance possible for them to become better baseball players and better young men by the end of the summer."
Dittenber graduated from Lincoln Northeast High School in 2000. He went on to earn a Bachelor of Science degree from Concordia Univeristy in Seward, Nebraska. Where he was a member of the Football and Baseball team. He is currently a sixth grade teacher at Schoo Middle school. He currently resides in Lincoln with his wife Carly and son Chase (3)

Coach Duchek is entering his third season as an assistant coach for the Hard Hats. His main responsibilities are working with the hitters and catchers. Prior to joining the Judds staff he spent 3 seasons playing for the Lincoln Saltdogs.
"Coach Duchek is a very important part of our staff. He provides a deep understanding of the fundamentals of baseball. He is a great teacher of skills that are required for our catchers." Dittenber said. "He has a very hard work ethic and is very detail oriented when it comes to his hitting instruction. He is able to relay his message to them in a way that is very easy for them to understand"
Duchek Graduated from Crete High School in 1999 and continued onto Concordia University, where he was a four year letterwinner for the Bulldogs, and was named first team All Conference in 2003.
He graduated from Concordia in 2003 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in graphc design. He is now the graphic designer for Bison Inc in Lincoln, NE. Him and his wife Anne reside in Lincoln, NE
Coach Kantor is entering his first season as an assistant for Judds. His main responsibilities will be working with our pitching staff and working with the outfielders. Prior to joining the Judds staff he spent last year as an assistant at Southeast Community College in Beatrice.
"Coach Kantor was our big off season free agent signing. I have been trying to get him on our staff since we worked together several years ago." joked Dittenber. "He is a young energetic coach that has a great work ethic. Our kids are going to be very lucky to be able to learn the game of baseball from him. His energy and love for the game of baseball is something that will rub off on our kids and he does a great job building positive relationships with kids."
Kantor Graduated from Lincoln Northeast High School in 2002 and continued onto Wayne State College for 1 year before landing at Nebraska Wesleyan for his final 3 years of college. He was a three year starter at NWU. Where he earned All-Conference two times and Division III All-American honors one year. After his college career ended he played professionally overseas for 1 year with the London Mets.
He Graduated from Nebraska Wesleyan in 2008 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Special Education. He is now a special education teacher at Belmont Elementary.

"Jones isn't always able to make it to every practice and every game, but you can't ever question his passion for the team. When he comes to practices, he's there before anyone else and games is the same way. He's your typical Northeast "blue-collar" guy, and is proud to represent Judds Brothers/LNE," Coach Casey says.

Coach Casey is entering his second season as an assistant coach for the Hard Hats. His main responsibilities are working with the hot corner over at third. Prior to joining the Hard hat staff he was playing for Lincoln Northeast and Judds.
"Coach Casey does a great job of instilling a mentality at third that makes you never want to take a play off. He does a job good of teaching sound fundamentals to all of our infielders." Dittenber says. "He is a young coach with lots of energy and enthusiasm about baseball. He takes great pride in being a part of the Judds Brothers family and he wants are kids to feel that same pride about the Hard Hats."According to Casey "Our players are going to get better, and I think entering this 2010 season, we're looking at a huge nucleus of talent, and its going to explode into success."
Casey Graduated from Lincoln Northeast High School in 2007. He was a two-year starter at 3rd base for both Spring and Summer for Northeast and the Judds Brothers program. He was a captain his senior year, where Lincoln Northeast finished 3rd in the state of Nebraska. He went to Dana College on a scholarship to play baseball, but decided to come back to Lincoln for his education. Now he is currently playing for the SCC Juco Baseball team in Beatrice, NE.
Casey is planning on majoring in Turf Management in a year and half. He also plans on finishing up at the University of Nebraska after his baseball season when it's all set and done.
